Greetings Bi-peds!

I'm passing out cigars! (made of hay) Christmas was a busy time for us! We had 4 lambs born in 24 hours. (3 girls and a boy)

Christmas Carol -

- born midday on Christmas Day

Twin Girls

- born in the wee hours after midnight on the day after Christmas. Note milk poopy butts.

Single Boy

- born 8 pm the day after Christmas

The Human says she is ready to go back to work just so she can get some rest. She says Lambing during the Christmas holidays is almost as stressful as dodging Christmas shopping soccer moms who are driving SUVs while sipping Starbucks and talking on their cellphones.

You've had a busy week, and it's only Wednesday! Love the little yarmulke on the boy...Just like Mommy's! The variation in color patterns among your sheep is interesting to me, as a Paint Horse breeder. What breed are they again?

CUTE! CUTE! CUTE! Dodging the die hard shoppers IN Wal-Mart is just as treacherous as dodging the SUV'S!! LOL!

My ram is a registered white dorper. My girls are standard dorpers except for Roanie who is a dorper cross. I'm still getting used to the color variations too. Most of the time they pop out white with a black cape and head, but sometimes a brown one or a painted one pops out.

Girl, I've decided that this is my last Christmas spent delivering lambs instead of seeing my family - both rams got sent to the butcher. From now on I'm going to buy a yearling ram every summer, give him 3 months of happiness with the ewes from Labor Day to Thanksgiving, then off to the butcher he'll go and no babies till after January. I hate dealing with rams anyway; we'll all be much happier this way I think!

I am SERIOUSLY considering that myself! Al is a great ram, but he's big and ends up hogging the resources (food, bedding, etc) from the girls. Since his job is done, he's been separated from them so I don't come in to find everyone else standing outside in the mud while Al is bedded down in the shavings beside the hay. (That got him evicted.)
