This humble flower heralds the fall season in south Texas. Bunches of morning glories creep along the roadsides, across the fences, up the power lines, and down the canals. They bring promise of relief from the brutal heat . . . . . . and the threat of hurricanes in the Gulf. Grow Little Friend! Grow!
Update: Word from Texas A&M Veterinary School is that the necropsy tests on the bull and the feed were inconclusive. This is sad news as now we may never know for sure what killed these cattle. Comments:
Oh no!, and I thought we could be friends. :)
Around here, those morning glories aka Bindweed are the bane of my gardening existence. They are serious about spreading their seeds and are impossible to eradicate once they get started.
Goodness, A&M couldn't find out what dropped 3 cattle in a matter of minutes? How is the remaining cow that belonged to another little girl?

I make no apologies! I LOVE my morning glories!
No, A&M said the tests were inconclusive. When I mentioned wanting to find our what killed the cattle in order to save another little girl's cows, I was talking about saving ALL show cattle that may be fed that feed since it was a specific show cattle feed and many children are getting their animals ready for the county fairs. I would hate for another child to go through that. (not to mention their cattle!)
