"Gypsy gold does not chink and glitter.

It gleams in the sun

and neighs in the dark."

We went to see Ona yesterday and I fell in love with her. We just had to bring her home!

Doug and Debbie, Percheron friends of ours, have promised to teach us to drive this golden mountain.  They have very big horses!

 Percherons!

 and a baby Suffolk!

Ona used to be a Marathon Driving horse so she knows what she's doing.  I don't know anything about driving horses, so I'll need the lessons.   Doug & Debbie bought Ona's driving partner, Magic.

Doug & Debbie introduce the Haflingers to the BIG horses!

When Ona came home, she met the minis!

 Big difference!

  Mighty Mountain!

  Mini-Me!

Congrats on your new 4 legged child. Driving is a whole new ball game if you do the CDE kind. You will absolutely go crazy with all the driving stuff and it is just so much fun! She is lovely. Always wear a helmet....driving is a horse with a weapon attached. :-)

I'm really getting excited about driving her. Right now we have to wait until we get some of the weight off of her. She is dangerously obese and is on a "hay only" diet. She was living pretty "high on the hog" at her other home, but she has a "pony metabolism" and doesn't need all that rich food.
